3. Getting started
3.4 Initial inspection
General
Before shipment, the projector was inspected and found to be free of mechanical and electrical defects. As soon as the projector is
unpacked, inspect for any damage that may have occurred in transit. Save all packing material until the inspection is completed. If
damage is found,
fi le claim with carrier immediately. The Barco Sales and Service of fi ce should be noti fi ed as soon as possible.
The packaging of the ZEUS projector is provided with a shock-watch label. If this shock-watch label was
triggered (red colored at arrival) during transport may indicate rough handling by the transport company. In
this case, the instructions mentioned on the label, should be followed, which are: adding a note on the “bill
of lading” and informing the transport company and the Barco sales and service of
fi ce as soon as possible.

• User and installation manual (this document).
• Safety manual.
The projector lens is not included in the package of the projector.
Mechanical check
This check should con fi rm that there are no broken knobs or connectors, that the cabinet and panel surfaces are free of dents and
scratches, and that the operating panel is not scratched or cracked. The Barco Sales and Service of fi ce should be noti fi ed as soon
as possible if this is not the case.
Tamper labels
During installation please inspect the tamper labels, if they are damaged please contact Barco tech support.
The tamper labels are required by DCI to provide easy visual indication if the equipment was tampered with. The projectors are
tested and labeled for shipping to ensure that the system was not compromised before reaching the customers
fi nal destination.
These tamper labels can be found behind the input cover (partial visible), top cover and left side cover (orientation: looking at the
screen). See chapter page 141, for instructions on how to remove the projector covers.
