About individual projector address

As more than one projector can be installed in a room, each projector should be separately addressable with
an RCU or with a computer using serial communication. Therefore each projector has its own address. The
factory default individual projector address is

0

.

When the address is set, the projector can be controlled with the RCU. Only addresses between 0 and 31 are
supported for the RCU.

Next to an individual projector address, each projector has also a broadcast address for group control.

About broadcast address

Broadcast address is a common address that can be set on the projector. That can be

0

or

1

. The default

broadcast address is '0'.

Any command coming from an RCU programmed with that common address will be executed.

How to set

1.

In the main menu, select

System Settings

>

Communication

>

IR Control

.

For detailed instructions see user guide of the projector.

5.17 Alignment of a table mounted projector

Barco offers a pedestal for the XDL series projector. This pedestal allows for a solid and easy setup
of the projector and chillers that fit underneath the pedestal.

When trying to tilt the projector in an angle beyond what the projector feet can handle, use an
external frame that achieves this angle instead.
Take into account that when using an external frame, the projector feet must be removed
completely and the holes must be used to attach the projector to the rigging frame (using 17 mm
hex screws).

Required tools

Open end wrench 17 mm

Open end wrench 24 mm

How to align

1.

Place the projector in the desired location. Take into account the zoom range of the used lens and the size
of the screen.

2.

Project one of the internal patterns on the screen.

3.

Turn the adjustable feet in or out until the projected pattern has a perfect rectangle shape and is leveled.
To do so, proceed as follows

Loosen the long nut (reference 1

Image 5

30

) on the threaded rod of the four projector feet. Use a 24

mm open end wrench.

Adjust the height of the four legs to level the projector. Use a 17 mm open end wrench to adjust the
height as illustrated (reference 2

Image 5

30

).

Secure the leg height by tightening the long nuts (reference 1

Image 5

of each projector foot

against the projector chassis.
