Combination and plugging rules
When extending a system by inserting additional expansion cards into a T
RANS
F
ORM
A device or by exchanging a
card with a card of different type, the rules for functionality considerations, plugging order and system load be-
low must be considered to see, whether the planned configuration is possible or not.

Functionality considerations
•
AGX and UGX

Graphic cards in different graphic modes:
TransForm A – X Terminal only:
In a distributed system some combinations of graphic cards in different graphic modes are
possible. Please see in the table below which types can be mixed in the respective configura-
tion:

SXGA (

) and O
MNI
S

UXGA (
AGX-3313

The O

S
CALER
exists in two versions. O

AGX-3313
is a replacement for the O
MNI
S
CALER
AGX-3002
.
Within one system both types of O
MNI
S
CALERS
can be used, provided that the requirements given in the table
below are considered:
OmniScaler
maximal resolution / channel
required display driver
AGX-3002
SXGA (1280×1024 pixels)
R 3.0 and higher
AGX-3313
UXGA (1600×1200 pixels)
R 3.3 and higher

•
Systems with UGX

C
ARD
and UXGA output must use O

UXGA.
•
A graphic card with digital output transmits the data to an O
MNI
S
CALER
where the video and RGB integration
takes place per graphic channel. Data is transmitted between a graphic card and an O
MNI
S
CALER
by means of
the external Dual-DVI to Dual-DVI cable. If no video or RGB sources are intended to be displayed within the
graphic channel the graphic output is directly connected to the display wall without need to connect an O
MNI
