7.1 Cleaning the Solaris LD display
How to clean the Solaris LD display ?
1. Switch of the Solaris LD display.
2. Clean the display side (LED’s) with a damp antistatic cloth. It’s recommend to use isopropanol alcohol as a solvent for cleaning
the LED’s.
Warning: Ensure that the area is well ventilated.
No smoking is allowed while working with isopropanol alcohol.
Caution: LED components used in ILite devices are ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) sensitive. Take the necessary precautions
to prevent damage to the LED’s.
3. Clean the housing of the Solaris LD display with a damp cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth lightly dampened
with mild detergent solution.
7.2 Cleaning or replacing the Solaris LD filters

Vacuum cleaner.
Necessary parts
Clean Solaris LD filters.
How to clean or replace the Solaris LD filters
1. Open the door of the filter assembly in the bottom cladding of the Solaris LD display by releasing the thumbscrew.
2. Remove the filter.
3. Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner.
4. Place the cleaned filter or a new filter back inside the filter assembly.
5. Fasten the thumbscrew of the filter door.
6. Repeat from step 1 until all filters of the Solaris LD display are cleaned.

The Solaris LD filters must be cleaned on regular intervals, depending on the environment, to
ensure the good working conditions of the Solaris LD display.
7.3 Cleaning the dust filter of the Solaris D2 digitizer
How to clean the dust filter of the Solaris D2 digitizer ?
1. Softly press down the lid of the dust filter at the rear side of the Solaris D2 digitizer and pull out the filter. (image 7-1)
2. Blow out all the dust from the filter and remove remaining dust with a dry cloth.
3. Place the clean dust filter back in the Solaris D2 digitizer.
