Installation of the first precision frame

Necessary tools

•

19 mm open ended spanner.

•

1000 mm spirit level.

Necessary parts

•

One Precision frame.

•

Five M12x30 hexagon head bolts (A).

•

Five M12 plain washers (B).

•

Five M12 spring lock washers (C).

How to install the first precision frame upon the Solaris LD support structure ?

1. Place the first precision frame into the middle of the support structure as illustrated. The mounting position of the first precision

frame is marked with a cut out diamond on the horizontal profiles of the support structure (see detail of image 5-21) . This cut
out diamond indicates the middle of the final mounting position of the first precision frame.

Tip:

Let the height adjustment bracket rest upon the lower horizontal profile of the support structure. This way you don’t have
to carry the weight of the precision frame continuously.

Note:

Depending on the chosen Solaris LD model one or two locations are suitable (indicated with a cut out diamond) to install
the first precision frame.

2. Loosely attach the first precision frame to the support structure by inserting one M12x30 hexagon head bolt (A) in the mounting

hole indicated with the arrow in the detail view of image 5-22. Ensure to use a M12 plain washer (B) and spring lock washer (C).
Do not fasten yet, the precision frame must be able to swing a little bit.

Note:

It is important to use one of the two inner mounting holes of the precision frame. Because those mounting holes have a
higher precision than the outer mounting holes of the precision frame.

Tip:

Adjust the height of the precision frame by turning the bolt in or out the height adjustment bracket until the mounting holes
on the frame correspond with the mounting holes on the support structure.

3. Place loosely four M12x30 hexagon head bolt (A), with a M12 plain washer (B) and spring lock washer (C), in the mounting

holes of the precision frame as illustrated. Ensure to use the outer mounting holes of the precision frame. Do not fasten yet.

4. Level out the first precision frame using a spirit level and fasten all bolts. Ensure the precision frame is perfectly leveled. (im-
