7.15 Manual startup of the SMPS unit
Why starting up the SMPS unit manually ?
To determine the cause of a malfunction SLite tile it can be very interesting to exclude the possibility of a bad function SMPS unit.
Normally the SMPS unit receives a ’START’ signal from the re-sync unit via the controller and power distribution unit. When this
signal does not reach the SMPS unit, because for example a malfunction re-sync unit, the SMPS does not start up.

:
Never install an SLite tile permanently with a jumper link on JP1.
Necessary tools
Nut driver 7 mm
Necessary parts
Jumper link
How to startup the SMPS unit manually ?
1. Remove the SMPS cover by releasing four M4 nuts using a 7 mm nut driver.
2. Place a jumper link on JP1 of the SMPS unit.

3. Power up the SMPS unit.
4. Determine the good or bad operation of the SMPS unit.
5. Remove the jumper link from JP1.
7.16 Remove fan from the SMPS assembly

Ballpoint Allen key 3 mm
•
Nut driver 7 mm
How to remove a fan from the SMPS assembly
1. Do you want to remove one of the larger fans in the middle of the SMPS assembly ?
If yes, Remove the SMPS cover first by releasing four M4 nuts using a 7 mm nut driver.
2. Unplug the wire unit of the fan from the power distribution unit.
3. Release the four hexagon bolts, located in the corners of the fan, using a 3 mm ballpoint Allen key.
4. Remove the fan.
