5. Menu Orientation
Using the Pop-up Keyboard

In several switcher menus, you can use a pop-up
Keyboard
to enter names and
descriptions for various switcher functions. For example:

On the
Input Setup Menu
, the
Keyboard
is used to name inputs, as they’ll
appear on the programmable displays.
S
On the
Memory Menu
, the
Keyboard
is used to enter brief descriptions of
memory registers.
The figure below illustrates a sample
Keyboard
, in “name” entry mode:

Please note:
•
The top bar provides a prompt for the current action, e.g., entering a name or
entering a description.
•
Below the prompt is the entry register, where letters appear as you type.
•
To use the keyboard, enter the desired text in the normal manner.

{Enter}
to complete an entry and close the
Keyboard
.

Press
{Cancel}
to cancel an entry and close the
Keyboard
.
•
Press
{Caps Lock}
to switch between upper and lower case, where applicable.

remains on, and not all letters and symbols are available.
