17 Product Support and Maintenance
This section provides general Banner resources and specific documentation for installers and operators of this iVu BCR.
17.1 Product Support
Banner provides the following resources for quickly setting up and operating the device.
Online Help
When setting up or monitoring inspections using the iVu BCR device's display, view online help on any screen by clicking
the Help icon in the upper-right corner of the display.

Warranty Service
Contact Banner Engineering for troubleshooting of this device. Do not attempt any repairs to this Banner device; it contains
no field-replaceable parts or components. If the device, device part, or device component is determined to be defective by
a Banner Applications Engineer, they will advise you of Banner's RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) procedure.
Important: If instructed to return the device, pack it with care. Damage that occurs in return shipping is
not covered by warranty.
Factory Support
To help Banner better assist you, be ready to provide the following information:
• iVu BCR firmware version (to find the version number, go to Main Menu > System > Sensor Information )
• Device model number and date code, which are found on the bottom of the device.
• Exact wording of any messages that appeared on your screen
• A description of what you were doing and what happened
• A description of how you tried to solve the problem
17.2 Maintenance
Maintenance tasks include keeping the hardware free of dust and dirt and updating the iVu firmware as needed.
17.2.1 Clean the
iVu BCR
Regularly remove any dust or dirt from the sensor using a soft cloth.
If needed, slightly dampen the cloth with a weak solution of neutral detergent. Avoid getting dirt on the imager (the area
behind the lens). If the imager is dirty, use anti-static compressed air to blow off the dust.
17.2.2 Update the
iVu BCR
Firmware
Use the following steps to update the iVu firmware.
