4.6.1.6 Power and reset buttons
Both buttons can be pressed without any tools.
Description
Power button
The power button offers full ATX power supply support and has various configurable functions.
•
Short press:
Switches the PC on or off or performs the action configured in the operating sys-
tem when pressing the power button (shutdown, sleep, etc.).
•
Long press (approx. 4 s)
: The ATX power supply switches off the PC without shutting it down.
Pressing the power button does not reset the MTCX processor.
Reset button
Pressing the reset button triggers a hardware/PCI reset. The PC is restarted.
During a reset, the MTCX processor is not reset.
Warning!
Switching off the power without shutting down or resetting the system can result in data loss!
