10.5 Updating firmware
Firmware can be updated with a terminal program (e.g. RealTerm, TeraTerm, etc.). Since HyperTerminal is no
longer supported beginning with Windows 7, Tera Term is recommended.
Complete the following steps to update the firmware:
•
Enter the command "firmware_update".
•
Select the firmware update file (e.g. HyperTerminal -> Transfer -> Send file -> Select file).
•
Send the file.
•
Wait for the update to complete.
•
Wait for the reader to restart.
•
Wait for the information to be verified.
•
The update is completed.
