SZA – flame detection
Ignition is deactivated 0.5 seconds before the start up safety time end (P64) and a flame
detection procedure is started (ionisation input). As long as a ionisation current is flowing,
the MPA indicates the flame presence.

Flame A stabilisation
The flame can be stabilised using a special modulation point that can be set up. The
duration of this stabilisation phase (p65) can be set up.

Flame B stabilisation
For this stabilisation phase (P66) a further special modulation point can de defined. This
status can be used for example for igniting the main flame in case the MPA is working with
pilot burner. The main gas valve (=supplementary valve) can therefore be activated, after
the status start for a time that can be set (P50 and P52). See Operation with pilot flame

Moving to the adjustment operation
The MPA leaves the current special modulation point and adjusts to the starting modulation
point of the adjustment operation (P67).

Adjustment operation
In this operating mode, the MPA can be modulated in different ways (see from P70 to
P76, in particular P72). A spontaneous switching off can be activated after a set lapse
of time (P70). If this lapse of time is set to a maximum of 23 h and 59 minutes, the MPA
works intermittently. Continuous operation (≥ 24 h) is only possible with a continuous
operation stick, see paragraph 8.11.

Transition after an adjustment switching off

Possible use: to prevent a switch off with a full charge, in this status you can reduce (or
increase) the power to a set value.

VPS B – decision
In this status, you can decide whether a valve check has to be performed. See Operation
with valve check system. This status lasts only 1/16 of a second.

VPS B – emptying the gap between the valves V2 stays open (P42) to empty the gap between the valves and compensate the gas
pressure that could still be present.

VPS B – V1 check time
During the defined check time (P43), in the gap between the valves should not produce
any gas pressure otherwise the valve 1 is considered to be " not airtight".

VPS B – filling the gap between the valves
V1 is opened (P44) to fill the gap between the valves with gas pressure.

VPS B – gas pressure detection
This status lasts only for 1/8 of a second and is needed to monitor the GDWVPS gas
pressure switch.

VPS B – V2 check time
During the defined check time (P45), the gas pressure should
not drop otherwise the valve 2 is considered to be "not airtight".
Note: in case of MPA operation with pilot flame, the valve could also not be airtight, for
example the supplementary valve (= main valve) even if the error message refers to V2.

Post-combustion time
During this lapse of time (P82) a flame signal could still be present due to the previous
operation and caused for example by the presence of residual gas inside the combustion
chamber. The extraneous light check is started only in the next status.

Post-ventilation
In this status the combustion chamber (P83) post-ventilation is carried out. In this status
no flame has to be detected. Since even with the setting P83=0 the status lasts some
milliseconds, the MPA reacts to the extraneous light even if "no" post-ventilation has
been set up.

Lock against restart
In this status, the temperature regulator is not evaluated, therefore if a new heat request
is sent or activated, the automatic device does not perform the restart yet.

GDWMIN lack of gas
if the GDWMIN input of the automatic device is not closed, the automatic device waits in
this status for the gas pressure to be detected.

Waiting program
The MPA adjusts to this status if during start up a lack of gas has been detected in
GDWVPS (according to P46) or an open safety chain has been identified. The MPA
stays in this status for a certain waiting time and then it attempts a new start. You can
set up the number of start attempts (P90). The duration of the waiting time depends on
the number of the waiting times performed previously. The first time, the waiting time
is 2 minutes, the second time 5 minutes and the third time 1 hour and then a period
of time set using the parameters (P91). If the period of time set using the parameters
(P91) is shorter than the periods of time set for the first three time intervals, even
these will be shortened according to the period of time set using the parameters.
The corresponding waiting time can be interrupted setting the temperature
regulator to OFF (OFF depends on the operating mode in P15).
The waiting program restarts from the beginning if the automatic device
a) has been disconnected from the network,
b) has been reset or,
c) has reached the adjustment operation during the start up attempt.
