15.9 Teach-In of Emissivity via IO-Link
The true object temperature that is lying within the detection range is written to the parameter
True Temperature
.
Sending the system command
Teach Emissivity
calculates the emissivity based on the previously entered true tem-
perature value and the measured temperature value with 100% emissivity.

System command
Teach Emissivity
New emissivity in effect
True
Temperature
[°C]
Enter Object Temperature:
Entering the true temperature over the IO-Link-parameter
True Temperature
.
Note
The true temperature value must be entered in the units which have been set. If the temperature units are set
to %, then the true temperature value must be entered in °C.
Teach Emissivity:
Sending the system command
Teach Emissivity
teaches a new emissivity.
Note
The system command
Teach Emissivity
functions once after entering the true temperature value.
Note
If the calculated emissivity lies outside the valid range, the system command
Teach Emissivity
is acknowledged
with the error message
function temporarily unavailable
. The previous emissivity remains in effect.

LED OUT1 (yellow)
BDC2
OUT2 (Pin 2)
LED OUT2 (yellow)
Note
The LED indicates whether the detected temperature lies above the set upper switching threshold.
Note
In IO-Link mode OUT2 is turned off (high-impedence).
