Abbreviations
BDC
Binary Data Channel:
Binary switching status information in the IO-Link process data.
IO-Link Mode
The sensor uses pin 4 to communicate with an IO-Link master. The remaining pins are high-
impedence.
OUT1
Digital output on pin 4 (SIO mode)
OUT2
Depending on version:
Digital output on pin 2 (SIO mode) or analog output 4...20 mA on pin 2
Semi-automatic
DS
Semi-automatic Data Storage:
If there is an IO-Link interface the device will support IO-Link data storage for simple device
replacement. After replacing the device it may still be necessary to re-teach it.
SIO Mode
Standard IO Mode
The sensor operates like a normal temperature sensor with digital standard output signals.
