The unit provides two inputs at terminal 5 and 7 for HTL signals. The characteristics of the
incremental input (PNP, NPN, Namur or Tri-State) can be set in the
g
eneral
menu
.
Wiring of the incremental inputs:
PNP
NPN
Namur
Tri-State
Unconnected PNP inputs are always
low
and unconnected NPN inputs are always
high
.
All inputs are designed to receive impulses from electrical impulse sources.
Notice for mechanical switching contacts:
When exceptionally mechanical contacts are used, please connect an external capacitor
between GND (–) and the corresponding input (+). A capacity of 10 μF will reduce the input
frequency to 20 Hz and miscounting due to contact bouncing will be eliminated.
