1.1 Validity
This manual describes the construction and function of the
connection housing for BTL magnetostrictive linear
position sensors with PROFIBUS interface. It applies to
models BAM PC-TL-020-K__/KA__-4 together with
BTL7-T…-DEX_-ZA1K (see part number code
on page 13).
The guide is intended for qualified technical personnel.
Read this guide before installing and operating the BTL.

1.3 Qualified personnel
The user's guide is intended for technical personnel who
have the required knowledge of selection, installation and
operation.
1.4 Languages
The original user’s guide was written in German. Versions
in other languages are translations of the original user’s
guide. The information in the original user’s guide will apply
if the contents of the translated versions are not clear or
the information is contradictory.
If no guide exists in the language of the country where the
product will be used, the BTL may not be placed in
service. In such cases please contact Balluff.
