MAINTENANCE
Before any work is carried out, it is mandatory to stop the tractor engine or remove the plug from the
power socket (depending on the type of power supply).
In the event of a breakdown, the operator must immediately stop the machine, ascertain the extent of
the problem and carry out any necessary work on the machine.
Carry out periodic inspections and maintenance work in accordance with the Use and Maintenance
Manual. Proper maintenance is a guarantee of excellent work performance
Check the wear and tear condition of the belts and their tension.
Check the sharpening condition of the knives and the counter-knife.
Check and avoid possible blockages in the inlet and outlet paths.
Check and grease the bearing supports.
ATTENTION!
Any maintenance, adjustment and cleaning work must be carried out with the
machine on the ground, the tractor engine switched off, the power take-off
switched off, the handbrake engaged, the ignition key switched off and
removed from the ignition switch.
Maintenance work on the machine must only be carried out by specialised personnel or in any case by
personnel who are trained for the task.
Always use gloves and safety shoes.
The company recommends a check-up on your machine after approximately 2000 working hours
(one year at an average working time of 40 hours per week).
This check is necessary to ensure the efficiency, durability and safety of your machine over time.
When using pressurised air for cleaning, protective goggles or masks must be worn and any persons or
animals in the vicinity of the machine must be kept away. Do not use flammable fluids.
Every 8 hours of actual work, it is recommended to check the tightening of all nuts and bolts.
Always keep the machine clean of any debris, dirt, grass.
Carry out maintenance work on the machine by keeping it on the ground and detached from the tractor
or, if attached, with the cardan shaft disconnected from the PTO.
For the maintenance and lubrication of the cardan shaft (cardan drive), follow the instructions of its
manufacturer.
