Chapter 4. Programming Meter Settings
4.1 Introduction
Along with display formats and site data, CTF878 users can program global settings for the meter that suit their
individual preferences. The global settings include:
• English or Metric measurement units
• Date and time parameters and appearance (locale)
• Screen contrast
• Backlight timeout
• Resetting forward and reverse totals
• User tables
4.2 Entering the Meter Menu
To enter the Meter Menu, press the [MENU] key at the lower right of the CTF878 keypad. The Main Menu replaces the
Status Bar at the top of the screen. Press the [

] arrow key twice to scroll from the Site Menu to the Meter Menu. At
the Meter Menu, press [ENTER] . The screen appears similar to Figure 61 below. While programming, refer to the Meter
Menu Map , Figure 70 on page 61 .

To scroll to a particular option, press the [

] or [

] arrow keys until you reach the option. Then press [ENTER] to
open the option window.
When entering parameters in an option, press:
• The [

] key to step through the available parameters
• The [

] key to scroll back to a previously entered parameter
• The [F2] key (Cancel) or the [ESC] key to exit an option at any time and return to Operate Mode without
changing the parameters.
