The Drill Head
The drill head attaches to the top of the column. It supports the motor and
spindle while housing the controls, gear transmission, and electrical
components. Attached to it is the protective guard, the work light, and the
coolant valve with nozzle.
The Work Table
The sturdy work table can be positioned at varying heights and
rotated 180° in either direction. It has T-slots to allow the use of
1/2” or M14 bolts. Below the work table is a crankshaft (J) which
controls the up/down motion of the table. Always unlock the table
with handle (G) and lower column lock (H) before changing the
height or rotating it. Then lock the work table to secure in position.
The Machine Base
The rigid machine base supports the entire drill press.
Once in position it can be secured to the floor with (4)
fasteners. Any coolant / lubricant that drips onto the base will
enter the drain and flow back to the reservoir.
