INSTALLATION
Mechanical
The Badger Meter Series 3100 can be either panel mounted or wall mounted . In any mounting arrangement the primary
concern is easy viewing, and convenient operation of the keypad . The unit generates very little heat, so no consideration
to cooling is necessary . However, prolonged direct sunlight can damage the front panel so some level of shading is
recommended, especially if installed in a tropical climate .
Panel Mount
The Model 3100 Panel Mount is designed for through panel mounting, which allows access to the back of the unit . The 3100 is
secured to the panel by two draw brackets shown in Figure 2 below .
Wall Mount
Badger Meter does not currently offer a wall mount enclosure for this product . However, Model 3100 can be field wall
mounted, into any appropriate customer supplied enclosure .
