DOOR COMPONENTS
•
Insert the handle into the hole from the outside with the
handle in the "unlocked" position. The escutcheon plate on
the latch should be mounted so the long dimension is
vertical to the shed. Secure the latch in place using the 1"
screws provided.
•
Install the inside "D" handle onto the latch shaft using an
1/8" Allen wrench. The latch should be installed so there is
no play between the back of the inside handle and the back
of the door stop, located on the left door. When installing the
handle, be sure the inside latch is being installed on the
shaft so that it will latch on the left door when the outside
handle is in the "locked position".
•
The spring latches should attach to the door stop on
the inside of the left door as you look at the door from
the outside. Holes need to be drilled into the floor and
header to make them functional.
•
Carefully secure the latches in place so its parallel to
door edge using the 1-1/2" screws provided.
•
Hold the spring latch pin down against the floor with
the end of the pin mated with the surface of the floor.
Mark the floor by tapping the top of the pin with a
hammer.
•
Carefully drill a 3/8" hole into the floor allowing the pin
to slide freely in and out of the drilled hole.
• Repeat process for the top spring latch, hole being
drilled into door header.
