2.3. User requirements

The PDU may only be installed and connected by a qualified
electrician.

Defective components on the PDU may only be repaired by a
qualified electrician.
Only persons who can be expected to perform this work reliably are permitted
to perform any work. Persons whose ability to react is influenced, e.g., by
drugs, alcohol or medication, are not permitted. This manual assumes the
qualifications of the persons listed below for the various tasks:
IT specialist
The IT specialist has technical training or relevant experience in
the use of information technology systems and basic electrical engineering
knowledge. Due to their technical training, IT specialists can assess and avoid
the consequences of their actions when dealing with the system and its
components and the associated dangers. The tasks of the IT specialist include
the following activities:

Setting up hardware and software systems

Installing updates
-
Managing the PDU via the web interface and system diagnostics
Electrician
The electrician is able to carry out work on electrical systems and
independently recognize and avoid possible hazards due to their technical
training, knowledge and experience as well as knowledge of the relevant
standards and regulations. The electrician has been specially trained for the
work environment in which he works and knows the relevant standards and
regulations.
WARNING!
Risk of injury if personnel are insufficiently qualified!
If unqualified personnel perform installation work on the
device, hazards arise which can cause serious injuries
and considerable damage to property.
