Locking Collars
Each eccentric locking collar should be checked every six months to
ensure that the inner bearing race is secured to the fan shaft. The
locking collar can be set using the following procedure (See Figure 9):
1.
Loosen the set screw.
2.
Using a drift pin or centrepunch, tap the collar (in the hole provided)
tangentially in the direction of rotation while holding the shaft.
3.
Retighten the set screw.

Adjustable Motor Base
The motor base slides and adjusting screw (See Figure 10) should be
coated twice a year using a good quality corrosion inhibiting grease, such
as one of those recommended for lubrificating the fan shaft bearings.
