Troubleshooting
The following table shows the most frequent problems, possible causes and remedies.
Description of problem
Possible cause
Measure
The unit does not start.
Unit is switched off
Switch on the unit.
No electric power
Check fuses.
If the problem persists: Notify
customer service. (see Repair
chapter)
The refrigeration unit does not
start up.
Set temperature already reached
Set different temperature.
Switch unit off and on again.
Unit in defrosting mode
Wait until the defrosting cycle
finishes of its own accord.
The refrigeration unit is in
permanent operation mode, but
the set temperature is not
reached.
Ambient temperature too high
Provide better room ventilation.
Condenser dirty
Clean condenser.
Too little coolant
Notify customer service. (see Repair
chapter)
Condenser fan out of operation
Notify customer service.
Doors not closed properly
Check the door seal for damage.
Close the doors.
Ice in the evaporator
De-ice evaporator.
Defrosting valve open
Notify customer service. (see Repair
chapter)
The refrigeration unit does not
stop when the set temperature is
reached.
Control device defective
Notify customer service. (see Repair
chapter)
Temperature sensor defective
Notify customer service. (see Repair
chapter)
Doors not airtight.
Check the door seal for damage.
Close the doors.
Ice in the evaporator
Impermissible use
Notify customer service. (see Repair
chapter)
Control device defective
Notify customer service.
Loud noises
Unit is slanted
Ensure that the unit is standing
straight.
Touching the housing
Ensure that no hoses or fans are
touching the housing in the unit
interior.
Notify a centre authorised to carry
out repairs. (see Repair chapter)
Screws loose
Tighten screws.
Other reasons
Notify customer service. (see Repair
chapter)
Refrigerating capacity decreases
and/or refrigerant loss is
detected.
Leakage in the cooling circuit.
Do NOT operate lights or turn on
any other potential sources of
ignition (e.g. switches, lighters).
Do NOT pull out the mains plug.
Immediately disconnect the unit from
the power supply using an all-pole
separator.
Open doors and windows.
Inform B.PRO service.
