ESP-4 MI Serial Hub Installer/User Guide
The EEPROM configuration is updated immediately, but some changes may not take effect until
the next reboot. The display will indicate if a reboot is required.
Rebooting the Hub
The Reboot operation reboots the ESP-4 MI serial hub. A reboot is usually required for the
following operations to take effect:
•
Changing network address values
•
Changing any configurable features
•
Updating Flash
•
Downloading a configuration file
To reboot:
1.
From the Top Menu, enter
0
to select Server Configuration.
2.
From the Server Configuration menu, enter
6
to select Reboot.
You may also reboot the hub using the web interface (see
on page 33) or the
RESET button on the front panel (see
Reinitializing the Hub
The Reinitialize operation resets all configurable values to their factory defaults, including the IP
address and password.
To reinitialize:
1.
From the Top Menu, enter
0
to select Server Configuration.
2.
From the Server Configuration menu, enter
7
to select Re-Initialize (factory defaults).
You may also reinitialize the hub using the web interface (see
on page 34) or
the INIT button on the front panel (see
Displaying General Statistics
The General Statistics display includes the items described in Table 4.2 on page 31. All values are
cumulative since the ESP-4 MI serial hub was last reset.
To display general statistics:
1.
From the Top Menu, enter

to select Status.
2.
From the Status Menu, enter
1
to select General statistics.
Displaying Port Statistics
The Port Statistics display includes the information described in Table 4.3 on page 31 for each port.
All values are cumulative since the ESP-4 MI serial hub was last reset.
