6.10 Detector

If the detector housing needs replacing, dismantle the measuring chamber as
described in section 6.4 Dismantling the Opacity Measuring Chamber.
All the other detector components can be replaced without dismantling the
measuring chamber.

Undo the 4 PT screws.
•
The entire cover plate can now be removed from the detector housing.
•
Disconnect the cable on the selenium board.
Before replacing the protecting glass, first remove the seal ring.
•
Then undo the two 2 countersunk screws concealed beneath it (apply counterpressure
to the hexagon nuts on the selenium board).
•
The entire receiver can now be pulled out of the cover plate (the selenium board is
released first).
•
Remove the retaining ring (with saw-tooth round-nose pliers).
•
Then remove the O-ring, selenium cell and green filter.
