Files are stored on the loom. The files must be in the WIF format. The file
tab allows you to open your weaving files or to transfer weaving files to the
loom. It is the default tab that appears when you open the software.
If you are using Weavepoint, you can use the loom control feature to open
Weavepoint files directly in AVLDrive. With any other software, you must
export your weaving files to the WIF format. With the Compu-Dobby 5, files
are stored directly on the loom. From the files tab, you can open WIF files
that have been stored on the loom. You can also upload files from your
computer to the loom for use.
Note:
If no file is selected, only Transfer to Loom and Open, Upload to Loom, and
Backup to Local Machine will be available.
Button What it does
Transfer to Loom and Open Transfer a file from local storage to the loom
and open it. Complete instructions follow.
Open for Weaving Opens the selected file for weaving. You can
also double-click a file to open it for weaving.
Rename Rename a file. For example if you have
several files with similar names, you might
rename the file you are actively using so that
it is easy to find.
