E6L RAM Reseating and Cable Rework
10
Re-install the E6L Engine Core
1
Slide the core back into the E6L chassis, making sure the connectors face outward.
When the core is fully seated into the chassis, the two latches at the bottom of the chassis should be fully collapsed.
2
Tighten the four thumbscrews to secure the core to the chassis.
Troubleshooting
You can confirm whether or not you should reseat RAM by checking the following:
• If after 30 to 60 seconds no USB LEDs light on a keyboard and mouse connected to the engine, then the engine has not booted.
• Similarly, the engine will not respond to holding F5 during boot (for VGA mode) or F10 to boot from a connected E6L Engine USB
System Restore key (assuming you have one available).
• If the front panel LEDs are both green but there is no connection to the console and VGA mode cannot be enabled (by connecting a
VGA monitor and USB keyboard to the Engine and tapping F5 during boot).
