The Engine Controller module is only supported in the left slot (as seen from the rear of the
Engine). Do not install the Engine Controller in the right slot, the software will not run.
To remove a Engine Controller:
1. If the Engine Controller is still accessible through the ISIS Management Console Agent
Page, log into the ISIS Management Console Storage Manager Agent Page > System tab >
Network and note the hostname, IP address, and other important network details.

The default Agent Administrator password is “se-admin.”
If the Engine Controller is not accessible through the ISIS interface, continue with step 2 and
skip to 4; removing the cables and pulling out the Engine controller.
Leave the ISIS Management Console Storage Manager Agent Page open, you need it access
the Agent Page in step 3.
2. Stop the System Director service using the ISIS Control Panel or Launch Pad.
Once the System Director service is stopped, you can only access the Agent page in step 3
using the Engine IP address you have just noted.
3. Shutdown the Engine Controller using the Storage Manager Agent Web page via the Engine
IP address:

Type the Administrator password into the password field.
The ISIS 2000 Storage Manager Agent page appears.

Click the Advanced tab.

Select Shutdown from the left pane.
