Us e a font pac ket to add or c lear downloaded fonts from m em ory, upload the font buffer, or
upload the c ell s iz e inform ation for a partic ular font. The font pac ket is us eful when downloading
fonts . If us ing downloaded fonts , the font num ber and the num ber of bytes eac h downloaded font
us es is lis ted.
This pac ket does not lis t the num ber of bytes the s tandard printer fonts us e.
Us e the MONARCH® MPCL Toolbox Font Utility (available on our W eb s ite) to c reate the font
header and data. Refer to the online help for m ore inform ation.
Syntax

W 1. W W ritable Font Header.
W 2. font# The font identifier from 0 to 32000 . 0 is for all fonts . 1 - 5 digits is
the font num ber.
Exam ple: 3 is the s tandard printer font, Bold.
W 3. ac tion Ac tion. Options :
A Adds the s pec ified font.
C Clears all or s pec ified fonts , exc ept ones in flas h.
H Uploads font s iz e inform ation.
M Uploads font m em ory us age inform ation.
Note : C does not c lear (eras e) fonts s aved in the printer’s flas h
m em ory. To eras e ALL fonts from the printer’s flas h m em ory,
form at flas h.
W 4. dev ic e Devic e. Options :
F Flas h
R Volatile RAM.
W 5. data_length The length of the font data. The range is 68 to 16384. This is
optional. W hen c reating fonts , inc lude the font data with this
pac ket.
W 6. data_rec ord Multiple data rec ords define the font. The firs t c harac ter is either
an
H (hex) or an R (run-length), referring to the algorithm . The
res t of the rec ord is up to 2710 c harac ters of font data in double
quotes . Separate the algorithm and the data with a c om m a, and
end the rec ord with
| . This is optional.
