Job Reques t
A Job Reques t returns s tatus inform ation about the m os t rec ently proc es s ed print job. Send a
job reques t after an ENQ or batc h. There are two levels of Job Reques ts :

The job res pons e m ay not be im m ediate. If the printer has an error (out of s upplies , ribbon
problem , etc .), is in paus e m ode, or has ins uffic ient m em ory, c orrec t the problem and then
res end the job reques t. If the problem is not c orrec ted, no res pons e is returned. If a form atting
error has oc c urred, the job reques t returns the s tatus . The printer interprets the form at and batc h
data before returning the res pons e. Pres s

To c lear an error, pres s ENT ER . An ENQ c an als o c lear errors num bered les s than 500. Onc e
the error is c orrec ted, a job reques t c an be s ent. The printer c annot ac c ept another job reques t
until the error is res olved.
Job Response
The Job Res pons e varies , depending on the type of reques t s ent to the printer. The following
s yntax is the res pons e for a Job 0, 1,or 2 reques t.

does not s top, but the inform ation m ay not print properly. See

J 5. “BCH-2” Returns the batc h num ber.
