Use this to enable one or both of the alarm outputs on the recorder.
Select the Alarm Out option that works best for the situation.
Note
For more information about wiring an external alarm, please
refer to the documentation for your alarm from your alarm
manufacturer.
Use this item to set a PTZ camera to move to a predefined point when
an alarm event occurs. This function will only work with PTZ cameras.
1. On the Hover menu, click
Setup
.
2. In the
Alarm Setup
menu, click
Per Channel Config
.
3. Select the pre-configured preset for the camera to move to when an
alarm event is triggered.
4. Close
Per Channel Configuration.
You can copy event settings from one camera and apply the settings to
other camera channels.
1. On the Hover menu, click
Setup
.
2.
In the
Alarm Setup
menu, click
Per Channel Config
.
3.
To use these settings on other camera channels, click
Copy Event
Settings.

Select the camera channels to copy these settings to, and then
click
Confirm
.
5.
Close
Per Channel Configuration.
Set up the motion detection area, detection level, and sensitivity level
for each camera.
1. On the Hover menu, click
Setup.
2. Click
Schedule Setup,
and then click
General Settings.

Set
Global Configuration
to
Motion / Event.
4.
Click
Alarms Setup
, and then click
Per Channel Config
.
5.
Ensure that
Motion Detect
is set to
On
.
1. On the Hover menu, click
Setup
.
2. Click
Alarms Setup
, and then click
Motion Detection
.
3. Click a
Camera Channel
.
4. Click and drag your mouse pointer to create a new detection
square.
Note
The size of the detection square can be modified by
dragging the lower right corner of the square to the
desired size.

Modify the
Detection Level
as desired.
Detection Level – controls the amount of motion required for an
alarm to be triggered. The default setting is 10. This sets the
detection level for each sampling pixel; the smaller the value,
the more sensitive it is.Use the slider bar to adjust the
detection setting.

Modify the
Sensitivity Level
as desired.
Sensitivity Level – defines how much of an area must change
before a motion event is triggered. The default setting is 80.
Setting the Sensitivity Level to a higher value will make it
easier for motion detection to trigger a motion event. Use the
slider bar to adjust the sensitivity setting.
