The exhaust connection (hole 3) (
22
) in the subbase may not be
closed with a screw.
O
Always install a suitable silencer (see “Accessories” on
page 62) or a line for restricted exhaust at the exhaust
connection.
7.2
Switching on the electrical and pneumatic
supply
Proceed as follows to commission the ED12:
1.
First switch on the pneumatic supply.
2.
Then switch on the 24 V DC supply voltage.
7.3
Setting the set point
O
Enter the desired set point in the controller or potentiometer.
O
Observe the chapter “Selecting the correct supply pressure” on
page 54.

Controlling the ED12
You can continually adjust the pressure once you have connected
the electrical and pneumatic supply on the ED12. To do this, the
ED12 is e.g. controlled via a controller or potentiometer using a set
point. The electronics compare the set point with the outlet
pressure, which is measured by a pressure sensor, and generate
a control variable that is used to control the 3/3-way valve with U/
I converters and a proportional magnet. This sets the stipulated
pressure.
CAUTION
Danger caused by escaping compressed air!
Device is operating under pressure. If the additional inlet connection (
23
) on the base plate is
opened, the blanking screw may be forced out by the compressed air and cause injuries or
damage.
O
Never open the blanking screw during operation.
O
Only connect an additional supply pressure connection in a pressure-free state.
