User level: supervisor
Use the
username
command to add a local user account.
!
By default a single user account is configured. The user name for this default user
account is
root
, the password is
root
, and the access type is administrator. You cannot
delete this default user account, nor can you modify its access level. You can, however,
modify its password.
Use the
no username <name>
command to remove a local user account.
Syntax:
The syntax for this command is:
username <name> password <passwd> access-type {read-only |
read-write | admin}

New user name (minimum four characters)

To define a name that includes spaces, you must
enclose the entire name in quotation marks, for
example “new york”.
<passwd>
User’s password (minimum four characters)
access-type {read-only |
read-write | admin}
