Installing applications through USB flash drive
About this task
Use this procedure to install third-party applications through a USB flash drive for the Android
platform. When installation from unknown sources is enabled, you can install Android Package
Kits (APKs) of free and open-source software applications to your Avaya Vantage
™
device.
Before you begin
Ensure that the
Install unknown apps
option is enabled in
Settings
>
Apps & notifications
>
Special app access
. If you cannot modify this setting, contact your administrator for assistance.
Procedure
1. Download the application APK on your USB flash drive from the website of the third-party
application or an email.
2. Connect the USB flash drive to your Avaya Vantage
™
device through the USB port on the
right panel.
If you do not have a USB Type-C flash drive, you can connect your USB flash drive to
Avaya Vantage
™
using a USB Type-C adapter.
3. On the Home screen, tap
Applications
.
4. Tap
Explorer
>
USB
.
5. Open the application installation file.
6. Tap
Install
.
