Application installation on Avaya Vantage
™
Your administrator can initiate an automatic installation, upgrade, or uninstallation of applications
on your Avaya Vantage
™
without your intervention.
You can install and update Avaya and other third-party applications on Avaya Vantage
™
locally
through the following options:
• Google Play Store. By default, Google Play Store is not available on Avaya Vantage
™
devices. Contact your administrator for downloading Google Play Store on your device.
• Third-party application stores or unknown sources. You can download Android Package Kits
(APKs) of applications from common third-party application stores or other sources, such as
emails or websites, to Avaya Vantage
™
.
To be able to download APKs from application stores or other sources, you must enable the

. If
you cannot modify this setting, contact your administrator for assistance.
Access to Google Play Store
The out-of-the-box Avaya Vantage
™
device does not include the Google application suite,
including Google Play Store, by default. Your administrator can install Google Play Store on your
device.
When the Google application package, including Google Play Services and Play Store, is ready to
be downloaded to your Avaya Vantage
™
device, you receive a notification to accept the Google
Terms of Service. To be able to use Google applications on your Avaya Vantage
™
device, you
must accept the terms of use. After you accept the terms of use, the Google application package
is downloaded on your device.
You might be prompted to allow device access, including access to mic and speakers, for currently
installed applications. If you provided these accesses earlier, the installation of this package
requires you to grant these accesses again. You might receive these access requests from:
• Avaya Vantage
™
built-in UC experience
• Avaya Spaces
You need to sign in with a Google account to download applications from Google Play Store.
