When call pickup is active on your extension, you receive alerts for incoming calls to another
group member. The following are the types of alerts you might receive:
• Both indicator lights for the
Call Pickup
button on Expansion Module blink.
• Your extension rings.
• The MWI LED on the device blinks.
• Avaya Vantage
™
displays an incoming call pickup alert window, which is similar to the
incoming call alert for a direct call to your extension. The alert displays the name and phone
number of the person for whom the call is intended and the name, if available in the
enterprise directory, and phone number of the caller.
Answering a call to your pickup group member
About this task
When your extension is part of a call pickup group, you can answer an incoming call to a group
member from your extension.
Procedure
To answer the call, do one of the following:
• On Expansion Module, tap the blinking
Call Pickup
button.
• On the Incoming pickup call window, tap
.
• Lift the handset from the cradle when you are using a wired or wireless handset.
After a successful connection, Avaya Vantage
™
displays the active call screen.
Answering a call to another pickup group
About this task
When extended call pickup is enabled for your extension, you can answer a call to another pickup
group by dialing the number of the pickup group in the extended pickup group.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have the extension number of the pickup group.
Procedure
1. On Expansion Module, tap
Call Pickup Extended
.
2. Type the pickup group number that is receiving the call.
3. Tap
OK
.
After a successful connection, Avaya Vantage
™
displays the active call screen.
Picking up a call to another extension number
About this task
When directed call pickup is enabled for your extension, you can answer a call to another
extension by specifying the phone number or extension number.
