Opening the System Management Interface
Use the System Management Interface to copy license files and authentication files, service
packs, and update files from the Services laptop to the server. For how to open the System

Creating a super-user login

A craft level login can create the super-user login in Release 4.0 or later.
Make sure you have a login name and password that the customer would like for the super-user
login. If you are a business partner, you can also repeat this procedure to add the dadmin login.
Use the System Management Interface
to create a super-user login.
To create a login:

Make sure the customer can change this login, its password, or its permissions
later.
1. On the System Management Interface, click
Administration > Server (Maintenance) >
Administrator Accounts
.
2. Select
Add Login
.
3. Select
Privileged Administrator
and click
Submit
.
The
Administrator Accounts -- Add Login: Privileged Administrator
screen appears.
4. In the
Login name
field: Type a login name for the account.
5. In the
Primary group
field: susers appears.
6. In the
Additional groups (profile)
field: prof18 appears (
prof18
is the code for the
customer super-user).
7. In the
Linux shell
field
/
bin/bash appears.
8. In the
Home directory field
: /var/home/login name appears (login name is the name you
choose in step 4).
9. Skip the
Lock this account
and
Date on which account is disabled-blank to ignore
fields.
10. In the
Select type of authentication section
: Choose
Password
.
