2. Open the carrier release handle.

CAUTION:
CAUTION:
Allow approximately 10 seconds between the time you release the carrier handle
and unseating the drive (pulling it out of its slot). This allows the internal
mechanism to park the read/write heads so that the drive can be handled safely.
3. Pull the hard drive out of its bay.
4. Set the hard drive on the antistatic mat; you will return it to Avaya later.
