An internally integrated MPS Manager system must have a second network port that can be
utilized for this type of site network connection (if required).
Note:
In configurations where the MPS Manager workstation is already located on the site network (as
shown in the preceding diagram), no additional equipment is required for other TCP/IP devices
on the site network to access the MPS Manager system (that is, the site network itself is used to
make the interconnection between the MPS Manager workstation and other TCP/IP devices on
the network).
Multiple-Site Installations
In multisite MPS 500 system installations, each site maintains its own MPS 500 LAN network. The
MPS Manager workstation manages all the MPS 500 systems through the MPSWAN. If there are
multiple MPS Manager workstations, they can be located on the WAN or on any of the MPSLAN
networks. The following diagram shows a typical multisite installation with a single MPS Manager
Server system.
