Testing connectivity to the LAN
To test the external IP connections for the C-LAN, IP Media Processor, and VAL circuit packs, you must
ping the circuit pack and ping a known computer connected to your network. If everything is configured
correctly, the Result column on the Ping Results screen reads PASS. If it reads ABORT, verify the IP-
address information and check the connectivity, including the cabling.

Resolving alarms
As a last step, inspect the alarms log.
Use the Maintenance Web Interface.

Click Current Alarms and see if any alarms were generated. If so, resolve any alarms that may
exist using the maintenance book for your configuration
.
