Chapter 6: Prepare for Configuration
Before you prepare the G250 for configuration, ensure that you load the completed Electronic
Pre-Installation Worksheet onto the laptop. You should also load any firmware, license, or
authentication files that you have prepared onto the laptop.
Preparations for configuration differ depending on whether your G250 contains an S8300B
Media Server. The following section describes the preparation of a G250 that includes an
S8300B Media Server. If your G250 does not include an S8300B Media Server, skip to
Configuring a G250 without an S8300B Media Server
Preparing a G250 with an S8300B Media Server
You use the Avaya Installation Wizard (AIW) to configure the G250 with an S8300B. If a remote
technician is configuring the G250, see
Preparing the G250 with an S8300B for a remote
To prepare the S8300B for configuration:
1. Connect the laptop you prepared to the Services port on the S8300B. Use a standard
