Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Avantes AvaLight-HPLED. This light source will provide outstanding
performance. To make sure you get the best out of its performance, it is perfectly compatible with
all Avantes AvaSpec spectrometers.
The AvaLight-HPLED works from the UV light to the VIS light, it depends on the choice of the
wavelength for the HPLED. There are seven different wavelengths available for the HPLED:

385nm

405nm
-
470nm
-
530nm
-
625nm
-
White
The AvaLight-HPLED can operate in a continuous mode or in a pulse width mode.
The AvaLight-HPLED-285 and -385 stays below the exempt limit for the UV and of the EN-IEC 62471
Photo biological Safety Assessment. Therefore, no additional measures are required for the
AvaLight-HPLED-285 and -385. However, the below stated warning should be taken into account.
Caution:
This lamp produces ultraviolet radiation, which can be harmful to the eyes.
We advise to NOT LOOK INTO THE LIGHT BEAM.
This could cause eye damage, we advise to take the appropriate measures.
