Storage
If outdoors storage is necessary, protect the machine
with the designated weather cover (part no. 65436).
.
..
Do not use the full, closed
transport and weather cover over
long periods of time as it promotes
corrosion due to moisture that will
condense inside it. The light
weather cover can be used.

Before long term storage (more than 1 month),
prepare the loader to ensure long service life and
trouble-free use of the loader.
Ensure that the state of charge of the battery is
sufficient. Recommended charge level is around 40-
50%. Never store the loader if the battery is
discharged less than 20%. Also, to avoid battery
deteriorating, avoid storage with 100% full battery.
It is recommended to have the next periodic
service made before storage. Contact Avant
service.
Clean the loader carefully. It will become more
difficult remove dirt over time.
Check and touch-up painted surfaces, if
necessary, in order to avoid rust damages
Grease the greasing points and lubricate the
piston rods of the cylinders with oil
Store the loader indoors if possible. Do not store
the loader in direct sunlight
Storage of electric loader
For ideal battery performance and battery life, during
long term storage (>1 month) the battery should be
charged to half full state (40%-50%). The
temperature during long term storage should be
between 0 °C and 20 °C.
It is advisable to check the state of charge every
month to keep the battery in optimal condition. The
battery does not need to be removed or
disconnected from the loader for storage. However,
during long storage periods in optimal conditions
stated above, disconnect the battery quick coupler
from its counterpart on loader.
In extreme temperatures (below -20 °C or higher
than 55 °C), or if the battery state of charge is
<5% (“almost empty”), a charger must be
connected and the charger equipment must be
active when the loader is left unattended.
Either
the integrated charger or an external Avant charger
can be left plugged in.
For the best current delivery capacity of the battery in
daily use of the loader, it is recommended to use and
park the loader in temperatures b10 °C and
+30 °C. In this temperature range the temperature of
the hydraulic oil of the loader is warm enough for
efficiency, and the cooling of the battery is not yet
necessary.
Avoid damaging the battery - Never leave the loader
stored with a nearly empty battery.
To avoid damage of the battery,
and to maintain the performance of
the battery, follow the instructions
regarding the storage and
recommended storage
temperatures.
Completely discharged battery can
get damaged during storage.
