Owner’s Manual
Assembly:
Operating Instructions:
The Avalanche Snow Remover may be operated in several different ways.
We recommend that you choose the operation which requires the shortest
handlelength, because any weighted tool at the end of a very long handle is
difficult to maneuver.
It’s usually only necessary to remove the first few feet of snow from the lower roof edge.
This should be done as soon as possible after a snowfall to prevent ice dams. Place the
cutter frame at the lower roof edge with the plastic slide hanging down over the roof
edge and slowly roll the cutter frame up the roof. The plastic slide will pull behind the
frame under the snow; the snow will break off in blocks and slide down the plastic off
the roof and onto the ground below. If any snow remains on the plastic, it will be removed
when you roll the cutter frame back down the roof. Reposition the cutter frame
at the lower roof edge for another pass.

REMOVE SLIDE WINDER BEFORE USE!
Should you need to replace the slide, remove the plastic slide holder from the axle
and wrap the plastic slide around the axle once. Then snap the slide holder over the
plastic and axle to hold the plastic on the axle. If during operation the plastic slide
should catch on the nails or obstructions in the roof and tear, simply cut off the plastic
below the rip, re-wrap, around axle, snap on the slide holder and return to work.
