4.1

Connecting the Inputs

Before using the VS-612, make certain that the Composite or S-Video source is
producing a picture on its regular monitor. If it is, connect either a Composite
Video or S-Video cable from the output of the source and the appropriate input of
the VS-612.

Next connect the audio output of the source device to the Right (R) and Left (L)
audio inputs of the VS-612 after first making certain that the source audio output
is working properly.

4.2

Connecting the Output

Connect an HDMI cable between the output connector on the VS-612 and the
input of the HDMI capable monitor. If you are going to use a HDMI monitor
capable of 1080p resolution, the cable run must be less than 20 feet due to
signal loss caused by the extremely high bandwidth required for 1080p signals.

4.3

Connecting Power to the Unit

The VS-612 Up Converter is shipped with a Power Adapter to convert
100~240VAC@50-60Hz to 5VDC.  Connect the DC Output from the Power
Adapter to the back of the unit and then plug the Power Adapter into an AC
Receptacle.  Press the Power Button on the front of the unit to apply voltage to
the circuitry.
