6.0     TROUBLESHOOTING

Most problems with the AVT-3400 are caused by improper use of the Menu
Functions. Make certain that you understand the Menu Function you are invoking
before you attempt to execute it. As suggested above, do not use the Resolution
Function at all unless you completely understand what it does and also know for
certain the maximum resolution possible on your monitor.

Other suggestions:

Determine that the AC outlet into which you have plugged the AC adapter is
furnishing power properly and also make certain that all connections, including
the DC power lead from the AC adapter are fully plugged in to the AVT-3400.

Check that the devices connected to the AVT-3400 are performing properly
before you assume that the AVT-3400 is at fault.

Another problem with the AVT-3400 revolves around the cables. Inspect the
cables for loose connectors or cable damage such as crushed cables or cables
with cuts or nicks. Replace any cable exhibiting these problems.

You also must use the highest quality cables if you want to achieve the best
results. Poor quality cables will cause poor quality signals.

After trying the above suggestions should the problem still persist, contact your
dealer for additional suggestions before contacting AV Toolbox. Should the
dealer’s technical personnel be unable to assist you, contact AV Toolbox via our
