There are a series of progress bars under the movie in the Output window to show the status
of processing. Depending on whether or not you are using variable bitrate encoding, flattening
or other options, the Output window normally displays one to three progress bars (certain
complex operations may show more). When all the progress bars are full, processing is
complete.
While encoding is in progress, you cannot play the encoded file, but you can see the current
frame.
Before/After Preview
While encoding movies, it helps to see the original image compared to the final encoded image.
This enables you to determine if the final encoded version meets your quality standards before
the processing is complete. The Before/After slider addresses this need during the encoding of
formats Cleaner can display, such as QuickTime and AVI.
Note:
To use the Before/After slider, disable the Minimize Preview (faster) option check box in
the Preferences dialog.
