Preparations
Before you start installing JPX system, please carefully read and strictly follow
the instructions below.
Only use accessories and cables that are supplied with our products or
purchased as required
Correctly connect all the cables
Use the correct power supplies and connect them to our devices in
accordance with specification for electric construction
IP controller's LAN1(AV) port is connected to a switch and LAN2(C) port is
disconnected from an Ethernet cable.
Configuring a Switch
First, power on switch, and then perform different operations based on your
actual switch.
1. If your switch is supplied with our products, it has been configured correctly
and passed our tests. Therefore, it can be used without any configuration.
In this case, directly go to the next section "Performing Matrix Switching".
2. If we do not provide any switch with our products or you want to use other
switches for some reason, we would recommend that you use a switch
tested by us and configure it by following our instructions. For more
information, see "JPX Networking User Manual".
3. If you use a switch which is not tested by us, configure it by referring to the
following requirements.
Disable green or energy-saving feature
Enable Multicast forwarding or filtering
Enable IGMP Snooping
Assign a valid IP address to the IGMP Querier
Enable IGMP Querier
Enable IGMP fast leave
Disable dynamic multicast router port
Disable forwarding unknown multicast
Make sure that you configure all the related settings above in global
configuration and VLAN configuration.
Performing Matrix Switching
1. Power on source devices, display devices, IP controller, TX and RX in turn.
2. Configure your PC's network settings with IP address 169.254.1.11 and
subnet mask 255.255.0.0, leaving gateway and DNS blank.
3. Log in to IP controller's web configuration page.
