AU-EMLD2 & AU-EMLD3 – NON-MAINTAINED LED EMERGENCY PACK

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION

 

 

Installation should be carried out in accordance with the latest edition of the National Wiring Regulations. If in doubt please consult a qualified electrician. 

 

This unit requires an unswitched 230-240V mains supply to charge the battery. 

 

This is a Non-maintained unit and will only energise in the event of an electrical mains supply failure. 

 

Ensure that ALL connections are tight with no loose strands, including factory connections. 

 

Batteries must be charged for 24 hours to ensure full emergency duration and before testing. 

 

A green LED within the module indicates the battery is charging correctly. 

 

LED module may also be mounted without the downlight in a 20mm hole. 

 

Please note - There is basic insulation between the battery and supply. 

 

Battery discharge rated current: 0.55A 

 

The bve and -ve connections must be correct. If reversed the product will not operate. 

 

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 

Isolate the mains supply before servicing or installation

 

1.

 

Select the required position for the luminaire. Beware of joists, water pipes and electric cables. 

2.

 

Drill the cutout in the position required (Cutout is 40mm diameter). 

3.

 

Connect the pack to the mains supply, Brown to the Live supply (Red or Brown) and Blue to the Neutral (Black or Blue) using a suitable junction box. 

4.

 

Connect the battery to the driver using the AMP connector 

5.

 

Push the emergency train through the cutout in the ceiling. 

6.

 

Slide the legs of the mounting spring clips into the ceiling cutout and push the fitting up into the aperture.

WARRANTY

and removal of the Q.C. date label, installation in an improper working environment or installation not according to the current edition of the National Wiring Regulations. Should 

this product fail during the warranty period it will be replaced free of charge, this is subject to correct installation and return of the faulty product. Aurora does not accept 

responsibility for any installation costs associated with the replacement of this product. This warranty is in addition to the statutory rights in your country of purchase. Aurora 

reserves the right to alter specifications without prior notice.
