Configuring ISDN System Telephones Remotely via the External S

Port on the
PBX (Externally)
Important:
Before you can configure the system telephones remotely, the
required configurations must first be made via an internal network connection
on the PBX.
Requirements:
•
PBX with internal ISDN system telephones
•
In the PBX configured remote switching number for system telephones and dealer access
number

Using the configuration manager (page
Settings > Remote configuration
)
Note:
If no dealer access number has been configured or the phone number
transmitted does not correspond with the configured phone numbers, the
PBX must be enabled via an internal telephone using a digit sequence for
remote configuration.
•
An existing external ISDN connection between the PC and the PBX (for example over an
ISDN PC controller at the external S
0
port) including the complete installation of the drivers
required for the device on the PC
•
Installed COMfortel Set configuration software version 3.0, or later
•
Knowledge of the user, sub-admin or admin PIN
•
Release of the PBX immediately before remote configuration (see section Short Reference)
if no dealer access number has been configured or the transmission of the configured
numbers is not possible on the computer being used
1. Start the COMfortel Set configuration software.
2. Open the menu
Options > Interface...
.
3. In the
Interface
list field, select the
ISDN card (CAPI 2.0)
option.
4. Click
OK
.
5. Open the menu
File > Open
.
6. Click
Telephone
.
